Pedestrian Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash

According to police reports, HPD officers are looking for the driver of a white PT Cruiser after the accident, which took place early Friday morning.

November 9, 2018 – 12: 30 am: A pedestrian was injured Friday morning when he was hit by a PT Cruiser. The driver of the vehicle did not stop and instead fled from the scene.

The accident took place a little while after midnight on the I-45 feeder road near the North Freeway and Patton.

A homeless man was crossing the street, pushing a shopping cart in front of him when the PT Cruiser hit him and sent him airborne. The force of the impact sent him bouncing off the surface, so he went airborne and landed several times before coming to a rest.

The victim had several broken bones but is expected to survive his injuries. He is listed as being in serious but stable condition.

Police have not released the identity of the man who was injured, and the identity of the driver of the PT Cruiser is still unknown at this time.
