Our client was injured in a violent head-on collision. The adverse vehicle, traveling a high-rated speed, lost control and drove over the median and into oncoming traffic \u2013 hitting both our client and another vehicle. Among his injuries, our client suffered an acute compression fracture to his back which required him to be placed in a back brace. His fracture fully healed without surgery. After obtaining a significant settlement against the tortfeasor, we asserted a claim for full underinsured motorist benefits under the insurance policy. That demand was initially denied by the insurance company, but we were able to obtain full underinsured policy limits for our client.<\/p>
