A privately owned company cut costs by providing A-frame ladders to its warehouse employees instead of rolling, platform-style ladders. As a result, our client was required to lift a heavy box from a high shelf while leaning from the upper step of a ladder not suited to this task. He fell and suffered severe head injuries that left him with a permanent brain injury, including a loss of short term memory and other injuries.
