Obtained a policy limits settlement for a pedestrian who was crossing a street at an intersection on a green light, when they were struck by a motorist turning left. Client suffered a fractured hip, which required surgery, and aggravation of a pre-existing low back condition. Investigating police officer placed blame on client pedestrian for walking into path of car. However, our investigation showed client had a green light, and although there was no marked crosswalk, wheelchair cutout where client entered the intersection established proper location to cross street at intersection. Recordings from scene showed motorist said he did not see pedestrian, i.e., failure to keep proper lookout.<\/p>
