November 27, 2018 – 11:00 pm: A man was hit in the leg while sitting on the couch and praying on Tuesday night. An SUV crashed through his wall and damaged the study.
The accident took place at the 900 block of Wavecrest Lane.
The man who was hit has not been publicly identified, but his nephew has made a statement on the event. Mohammad Barlas, the man’s nephew, reports that he saw a neighbor from across the street put the vehicle into reverse and drive the vehicle into the house.
According to Barlas, his aunt and a 10-year-old cousin were both in the house at the time of the crash, but his uncle was the only person injured.
Police are seeking the driver of the SUV, but at this time they have not managed to find the neighbor. They say he will be charged with failure to stop and render aid once he is found.
