According to news reports, there were multiple vehicles involved in the crash that killed the motorcyclist on Friday night.
November 16, 2018 – 6:31 pm: The 28-year-old Benandre Wilson was killed after an accident where his motorcycle hit a car that had pulled out in his path.
The accident took place in Longview, on Gilmer Road, not far from Heritage Street.
According to a Facebook announcement from the Longview Police Department, there were five vehicles involved in the accident, which began when a vehicle pulled into the roadway in front of the motorcycle. Wilson was unable to avoid the vehicle, leading to the crash.
Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Longview police came to the site of the accident, along with firefighters of the Longview Fire Department and EMS personnel.
There are no reports of any other injuries taking place in the crash, although police state that there were five vehicles involved in the crash.
On Wednesday, Wilson’s friends and family held a motorcycle ride at the site of the accident. Wilson’s cousin, Christopher Nichols, said, “We want to remember him as the person he was. Full of life, caring, supportive. Mostly I’d say more than anything a good father.”
The accident is still under investigation.
