Mother and Children Injured in West Houston Collision

November 15, 2018

According to news reports, the driver and witnesses on the scene give conflicting statements of what happened in the accident.

November 15, 2018 – 6:45 pm: A mother and her two children were taken to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle on Thursday evening. All three of those injured are expected to be okay.

The accident took place at the intersection of Westpark Drive and Woodchase Drive, around the 10000 block of Westpark.

The mother and her two children were taken to a hospital nearby. One of the children required CPR and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The 3-year-old boy has since been stabilized and is expected to survive.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the family stopped on the scene and gave a statement when police arrived. However, investigators from the Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division say the driver’s account of events leading up to the crash conflicts with the accounts witnesses on the scene gave.

Police are not certain at this point whether the driver will be charged with any crimes in relation to this accident. The crash is still under investigation at this time.
