November 24, 2018 – 2:35 am: A motorcyclist was killed in an accident early on Saturday morning along the Gulf Freeway.

The crash took place along the entrance ramp to Interstate 45 at Pease Street. The motorcyclist hit a concrete barrier and fell over the edge. It is not believed that any other vehicles were involved in the crash.

According to HPD spokesman Sgt. David Rodriguez, the man fell nearly 20 feet from the top of the ramp and died at the scene of the crash. The motorcycle kept going for a while after the man was thrown, before coming to a stop near an exit.

The man’s helmet was found near his body, but it is unclear whether he was wearing it at the time of the crash.

Police are not sure of the cause of the accident, but it’s possible that he hit the barrier because he was traveling too fast to avoid it.

The motorcyclist’s identity has not been released at this time. The crash is still under investigation.
