Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash

According to news reports, the body was found early on Wednesday morning, although the time of the accident is currently unknown.

 

December 12, 2018 – 5:45 am: A woman was found dead on the road in the Cypress area of western Harris County on Wednesday morning. She was apparently killed when she was struck by a vehicle, although the driver of the vehicle that hit her fled the scene.

The woman was found on the 20000 block of FM 529, near Haven Creek Drive in the western part of Harris County.

As of 8:33 A.M. on Wednesday morning, traffic was still blocked off at the scene of the accident while officers of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office investigated the area.

The woman’s identity has not been made publicly available, nor has any information concerning the identity of the driver who hit her or the make and model of the vehicle involved in the accident. No information about the cause of the accident has been made public either.

When the driver who hit the woman is found, he or she is likely to face charges for failure to stop and render aid.

Investigation into the accident and the woman’s death is ongoing.
