Teen Struck and Killed While Roller Skating in North Harris County

According to news reports, the young man was roller skating to work along a poorly lit stretch of road at the time of the accident.

 

December 21, 2018 – 6:30 am: Nineteen-year-old Robert “Robbie” Daniels was killed in an accident that took place while he was roller skating to work on Friday morning.

The accident took place on the southbound lane of East Hardy Road in north Harris County.

Details on the accident and its causes are sparse, but it is known that it took place on a poorly lit area of East Hardy Road, and that the driver who hit Daniels has not been charged with any crime in connection with the event.

Daniels’ mother, Marguerite Daniels, says that her son would always text or call her an hour after he got to work. In an interview on Saturday, she said, “He didn’t do that yesterday.”

Daniels’ family has started a GoFundMe account to help cover funeral costs and the expenses involved in transporting the body back to the family home in Florida.

The cause of the accident is still not known with certainty at this time. It is still under investigation.
