Three Injured in Thanksgiving Day Crash

According to news reports, the event started when police tried to pull the man over for having an expired license plate.

 

November 22, 2018 – 5:00 pm: Three people, including two children, were injured in a crash that took place on the afternoon of Thanksgiving Day. Edward Insall faces several felony charges as a result of the event.

Police tried pulling Insall over for having an expired license plate, at which time the man fled. Police gave chase, and the chase ended when Insall hit a woman’s vehicle at the intersection of South Zarzamora and Guadalupe streets.

The woman was injured and hospitalized, while two children in the vehicle received minor injuries.

After the crash, Insall attempted to flee on foot but was soon apprehended and arrested. Police found that he’d fled because a warrant for his arrest had been issued on September 10, 2018.

Insall has been arrested and now faces two counts of injury to a child, one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one count of evading arrest, and two counts of endangering a child. All of these charges are felonies of some degree.

Insall is awaiting trial, and the accident is still being investigated.
