Tow Truck Driver Killed While Helping Stranded Motorist

According to police, the driver who hit the trucker fled the scene, and they are still looking for the driver responsible for this hit-and-run accident.

 

January 4, 2019 – 12:00 am: A tow truck driver was hit and killed while trying to help a stranded motorist by the side of the road in Grand Prairie.

The accident took place on Interstate 20, near Great Southwest Parkway.

The tow truck driver was trying to help a stranded motorist on the road to Arlington at the time of the crash. According to reports, another vehicle arrived, hit the rear end of the tow truck, and continued westbound in the direction of Arlington.

The tow truck driver was killed in the crash, and at this time his name has not been made available to the public. According to police, the driver who hit the tow truck never stopped.

At this time, police do not have a suspect for the accident. The driver responsible for the accident could be charged for failure to stop and render aid if found. The make and model of the vehicle the driver was using is not known at this time.

The crash is still being investigated at the present time.
