Two Killed in East Houston Crash

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the woman and 8-year-old boy were both killed in a single-car crash.

March 27, 2019 – 9:10 pm: A woman and an 8-year-old boy were killed in a single-vehicle accident that took place in the Cloverleaf area of Harris County, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. A teenager sitting in the backseat of the Hyundai sedan received non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.

The accident took place near the intersection of Alderson and Nancy Rose.

The Hyundai sedan was headed westbound on Alderson when the vehicle drifted off the road and hit a tree. Police arrived on the scene shortly afterward, at which time the female driver (around 20 to 30 years of age) was pronounced dead on the scene.

An 8-year-old boy was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. A teenager in the backseat was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in good condition. There have been no updates on the teenager’s condition.

The three people involved in the accident have not been publicly identified at this time. Police say alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, but the accident is still under investigation.
