Two Killed in Mobile Home Fire

According to news reports, the fire broke out very early on Monday morning in Canyon Lake, and a family pet was also killed in the fire.

 

January 14, 2019 – 4:00 am: A fire took place in Canyon Lake early on Monday morning, killing two people and the family pet before firefighters were able to bring the situation under control.

The fire started in a mobile home on the 300 block of Dreamland, in Canyon Lake.

When firefighters arrived at the scene of the fire, they found the mobile home completely engulfed in flames. A neighbor told them the residents were still inside the home.

Firefighters were able to remove one person from the home. The individual was taken to a hospital in New Braunfels, but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

After the fire was under control, the second person was found already dead inside the mobile home. The victim had experienced severe burns.

The identities of the victims have not been released at this time. Firefighters have not commented on the cause of the fire at this time. The specific time the fire broke out is also unknown, but firefighters arrived shortly after 4:00 a.m. on Monday.
