Two Killed, Three Injured in Donna, Texas Crash

According to news reports, one of those killed in the accident was an 8-year-old boy.

 

December 19, 2018 – 9:00 am: A woman and an 8-year-old boy were killed in a two-car collision that took place on Wednesday morning. Three others were injured in the crash.

The accident took place in Donna, Texas, on FM 493, near Vertrees Road.

The crash involved a white vehicle travelling northbound with the woman and three children onboard, and a blue SUV traveling southbound. The woman driving the white vehicle reportedly lost control while headed northbound, swerving off the highway and overcorrecting.

This forced the vehicle to hit the southbound SUV, leading to the accident.

The woman and an 8-year-old boy were both killed in the accident. The other two children in the vehicle were injured and hospitalized, as was the driver of the blue SUV. The conditions of the two surviving children and the surviving driver have not been made public at this time.

The identities of the woman and the boy killed in the crash have not been released, either. The cause of the accident is still unknown, and the event is still under police investigation at this time.
