Woman and Baby Seriously Injured in Overnight Crash

According to news reports, the crash took place around midnight in southwest Houston, and the cause is currently unknown.

 

January 7, 2019 – 12:00 am: A woman and a baby were critically injured after being thrown from a car in a single-vehicle accident that took place around midnight in southwest Houston.

The crash took place at the intersection of South Main and Willowbend, where the woman crashed into a wall.

The woman and the baby girl were both thrown from the car, hitting the road. They have both been taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The vehicle flipped and caught fire after crashing into the wall. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and no one else was harmed.

Emergency personnel arrived on the scene and were able to put out the fires and allow EMS to take the woman and the child to the hospital.

The identities of the woman and the child have not been made public at this time, nor have their conditions been updated since Monday morning.

The area around the crash was closed off for a time while investigators and cleanup crews worked the area. The cause of the accident is still unknown, and is currently under investigation.
