According to news reports, the woman was driving too fast for the street when she hit a bump and her vehicle went airborne.
January 17, 2018 – 6:00 pm: A woman in the Upper Kirby area was injured and had to be cut out of her vehicle with the jaws of life after an accident that took place on Thursday evening.
The accident happened on North Boulevard, near the intersection with Kirby Drive in the Upper Kirby area.
The woman was reportedly driving her Audi too fast for the road she was driving on. Witnesses state that she hit a bump, her car went airborne, and she hit a pickup and an SUV. The Audi driver was hurt in the crash, but fortunately no one else was injured in the accident.
The woman had to be cut out of her vehicle when firefighters arrived with the jaws of life, and she was taken to the hospital soon afterward.
The extent of the woman’s injuries have not been made public at this time. Her identity has not been released, either.
Police have not commented on whether any charges will be filed in connection with the crash, which is still under investigation at this time.
