Woman Killed in Hit-And-Run Crash

According to police, the man responsible for the crash was driving a stolen pickup.

 

November 21, 2018 – 8:00 am: 39-year-old Rachelle Williams was killed in a hit-and-run crash in New Braunfels on Wednesday morning. Police are actively searching for the driver responsible for the crash.

The fatal collision took place at the intersection of County Line Road and Dove Crossing. The suspect, who was reportedly driving a truck he’d stolen in San Antonio, was fleeing police when he ran a stop sign and hit a Ford Edge, killing Rachelle Williams in the crash.

After that the man fled on foot, stealing a 2012 Kia Forte in the process. It is a silver Kia Forte with a pink “On the Grind” bumper sticker in the back windshield and a Texas license plate, DT6-R476.

According to police, the suspect is a man in his mid-20s. He was wearing a black jacket and a white T-shirt at the time of the crash.

Police are actively searching for the suspect, and part of West County Line Road was shut down as part of the investigation. Anyone with any information leading to the suspect or the vehicle he was last seen driving is encouraged to call 911.
