Woman Seriously Injured in East Lubbock Crash

News reports state that the woman was seriously injured, but was in stable condition as of the last report.

 

January 7, 2019 – 6:08 pm: The 75-year-old Levolla Jackson was seriously injured in a crash that took place on Monday evening in East Lubbock. Jackson was seriously hurt, but as of the most recent report she is in stable condition.

The crash took place near the corner of East 19th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

According to police reports, an 18-wheeler hit Jackson’s pickup. The driver of the 18-wheeler was headed westbound at the time of the accident, hitting Jackson, who was travelling eastbound.

Jackson was seriously injured and taken to the hospital as a result of the crash. The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured in the accident.

The cause of the accident is not known at this time, and the circumstances leading up to the crash are still unclear. The driver of the 18-wheeler has not been publicly identified as of the present moment.

The Lubbock Police Department’s Crash Investigation Unit is still investigating the crash at this time. Investigators invite anyone with any information about the crash to contact Detective McPherson at 775-2762.
